Free Choice - our self service portal
One of the most important things you'll need to do is to get your hardware set up. Don't worry - you don't have to go through a complicated process or wait for IT to do it for you. You can do it all yourself in our self-service portal - and we will ship the equipment directly to you. You will receive a log-in invite from Atea (our provider) in your email inbox before you start, so you can order the gear ahead of your starting date.
Here are the basics:
- We provide you with a reasonable selection of laptops (PC or Mac), mobiles, screens, keyboard and mouse. The options are pre-selected to be reasonable for you to be able to perform your job well. However, if you see that we are missing something that you need for your daily work to run smoothly - get in touch with your manager and they can make an assessment with and for you 👍
- Want to upgrade? No problem! You can always see what the additional cost will be for you next to the item. If you want to upgrade we will simply deduct the added amount from your salary.
- We expect you to keep the hardware for a minimum of 2 years - but we strongly encourage you to keep them as long as they serve their purpose. That`s good the 🌍 and good for us as a company 💸
- Our laptops are slightly different. We lease those, so they come with a fixed end date after 36 months. Then they are returned to continue living a good life elsewhere (after a bit of TLC from Atea).

Hardware Service and Repairs Guide 🛠️
If you're ever in a pickle with your hardware gear, here's what you need to do:
- For any hiccups with the hardware you've bought, just hop over to your account at Atea 👩💻 and create a support case or chat with customer service.
- Got a laptop issue 💻? Since these are leased and insured, you'll need to report that at Atea Finans 🚀
And voila! You're all set. Keep your tech game strong, everyone!
